Green Shift Program.

Objective:

To provide specialist external expertise to help businesses committed to improving their environmental and economic performance to go further in their process of adopting structuring eco-responsible practices and implementing clean technologies.

Examples of eligible projects:

  • Optimising waste management ;
  • Optimising energy consumption and efficiency;
  • Carbon assessment;
  • Analysis of greenhouse gas reduction potential;
  • Product life cycle analysis;
  • Ecodesign;
  • Biomimicry;
  • Optimisation of goods transport;
  • Responsible sourcing;
  • Other projects related to sustainable development themes may be eligible.

Programme terms and conditions:

  • Eligible businesses: All businesses with fewer than 200 employees, including cooperatives and NPOs (with self-financing commercial activities).
  • Eligible expenses: Professional fees for experts who are recognised as external resources of the business.
  • Amount of assistance: 80% of professional fees before tax or a maximum of $10,000 per business. The business must contribute a minimum of 20% to the project. Invoices for the business’s contribution and confirmation of payment will be required prior to any disbursement by the SADC.
  • Type of assistance : Financial assistance will be provided in the form of a non-repayable contribution. The portion of eligible fees assumed by the SADC must be in the form of a non-refundable contribution.
