SADC Pontiac Official Grand Opening Event

FORT-COULONGE (QC) September 7, 2023 – SADC Pontiac opened its doors to entrepreneurs and the general public this week to commemorate the official opening of their newly renovated downtown location in Fort-Coulonge, QC. SADC Pontiac has been providing expert assistance and support to rural entrepreneurs in the MRC and Municipality of Pontiac for 38 years. Their new office space has allowed them to accommodate a growing team of advisors as well as expand the services offered to local businesses.

The journey began in August 2021 when SADC Pontiac moved from their building on the highway 148 in Campbell’s Bay to the former Laurentian Bank location in downtown Fort-Coulonge. The work then began to transform the building into an effective working environment for the SADC Pontiac staff and clientèle. A renovation plan was put together by interior design company ODesign & Co and local contractor Constructions Morin & Fils Inc. began work in January 2023. The goal was to maximize the space to be able to provide each employee with a professional workspace while also providing a welcoming environment for entrepreneurs and the community. “We are grateful for the support of our contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers who made this renovation possible.” – Rhonda Perry, Director General. Perry adds; “Our building design as well as the progression of our corporate policies were all done with the goal of remaining an employer of choice within the Pontiac. We have a high staff retention rate, some who have even spent their entire careers with SADC.”

The renovated building is two stories with six staff offices on the main level, a welcoming reception area and an accessible meeting space for public use. Each office highlights portraits of local entrepreneurs who have worked with SADC Pontiac over the years. “It is a homage to our clients but also provides an opportunity for discovery and promotion of the diverse entrepreneurial offer we have in the region.” – Brittany Morin, Marketing Advisor. The top floor hosts a full kitchen and dining area, staff lounge, public washrooms, conference room as well as two work-share offices available to the public. “It was our goal not only be part of the revitalization of downtown Fort-Coulonge but to also expand our services to the community” states Marketing Advisor, Brittany Morin. With the additional space this new location offers, SADC Pontiac has chosen to provide three office spaces available for public use during the regular operating hours.

It is with much felt excitement and enthusiasm that the staff and the board of directors at SADC Pontiac open their doors today to clients, partners, and community members to celebrate this new chapter of the organization’s history.
